I’m Jackzie ❤, I dabble with many things, mostly web apps, but sometimes Minecraft plugins, Sourcemod plugins for L4D2, GTAV Scripts, and other things.
My History
I started when I was around 13 with running my own Minecraft server, figuring out how to manage it with the Multiverse multiworld manager and running a community. I had a forum site hosted by enjin, and I had a friend who showed me some HTML to change the top menu bar, that’s when I started to take an interest into programming.
The first thing I developed were websites with PHP. Then I started to learn Java for Minecraft plugins. That was a bit of a challenge in the beginning, I didn’t know much about programming besides PHP then, it was definitely a lot to learn and I struggled.
Over time I developed some more web apps, and learning how to make a discord bot. Now, I have over 70 different projects I’ve created, 2 with active users, but most are just for myself, as a learning experience. Unfortunately, with the amount of projects I’ve started, a lot of them are on what I call life support, where they may be in a broken or degraded state for years until I gain interest again, or someone complains.
What I do now
I am currently at university, studying Software Engineering. On my free time, I mostly play with my L4D2 friends, or work on a new plugin idea. I love to make plugins and new tools for L4D2, always making the game more fun and interesting. When I’m not playing L4D2 or making plugins, I might learn a new language, setup new tools on my servers, or just play a lot of games.
Web Apps
I am a big fan of vue.js and because I’m not artistic, bulma.io for CSS. I love doing layout & UX design, using components to make a easy to use app, and of course working with the backend and doing database management. Here is a few of the web app projects I’ve developed:
- Sourcemod Netprops Viewer Source Code
- https://admin.jackz.me/ (Private)
- Headless Blender Renderer
- A lot more, see for yourself here
